Quality Engineer

QUALIFICATION:

A bachelor degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or systems Engineering. Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and utilize advanced mechanical inspection tools (e.g. CMM, calipers) Proficiency in Statistical Process control (SPC), FMEA (failure mode and effects Analysis) and process Capability Lean Six sigma Green/black belt or ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification is highly preferred. Exceptional cross-functional communication and critical thinking to influence production team and resolve conflicts smoothly. Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in: Electroplating or surface finishing industry, Metal Fabrication with plating process, Chemical process Manufacturing Responsibilities: Develop inspection plans, work instruction, and testing processes to monitor product quality throughout the entire manufacturing lifecycle. Lead structured problem-solving e.g. 5Whys, 8D, FMEA) when defects occur, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to stop recurrences. Conduct internal audits to ensure production adheres to industry standards (e.g. ISO 9001, AS9100) and customers-specific requirements. Track non-conformance rates on the factory floor and collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming raw materials and parts meet exact specifications. Apply lean and six sigma methodologies to reduce variation, eliminate waste and boost production efficiency. Monitor plating bath parameters and product quality Conduct thickness and adhesion testing Investigate defects (blistering, peeling, burning, uneven coating) Handle customer complaints and corrective actions Maintain QMS documentation Support external audits Improve plating process capability (Cp/Cpk monitoring)
