Account Officer (Sales Engineer)

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

The position is primarily responsible for achieving sales objectives via effective account coverage, product endorsements, customer service, and overall accounts management.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

● For new accounts: Does prospecting/developing accounts from various sources: referrals, telemarketing, cold calls, other leads. ● For existing accounts: Aids in business growth by expanding offerings to existing clients/ customers in order to develop and sustain captive customers. o Designs and implements a coverage work plan to ensure that all accounts are visited regularly with the appropriate frequency. o Gathers customer requirements/inquiries and bid materials, as the case may be, and prepares proposals for standard product offers. o For non-standard products, endorses inquiries to Design Development Team (DDT) for evaluation and costing and Planning Team for production lead time. o Coordinates with Finance for credit investigation and other documentation. o Solicits inputs from Legal Counsel for major contracts. o Prepares proposal after consolidation of inputs and documents (drawings, costings, bill of materials, etc.) from concerned departments. May seek assistance from the Customer Service Team for documentation requirements. o Negotiates with client and consults with Sales Head prior to submission of proposal.

• May sometimes join site visits for pre and ongoing projects.
• Coordinates with the Customer Service Team for the preparation of Sales Order Form

(SOF) and its requisite attachments/supporting documents.

• Prepares individual yearly forecast and budget.
• Monitors progress of projects and analyzes sales development in assigned accounts

with assistance from the Customer Service Team. ● Monitors and reports competitor activities, pricing schemes and other relevant information as gathered from the trade. ● May be asked to represent the company during client special events and projects such as openings and anniversaries, to ensure close customer relation.

• Assists in the collection of overdue accounts.
• Helps in the formulation of Objectives and Plans, Forecasts, and Budgets.
• Helps maintain a safe, clean, orderly, and secure work area.
• May stand in for the Sales Team Leader, when requested, for meetings and other

activities. ● Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS & STANDARD:

• preferably in Electrical Engineering course
• Sales experience is an advantage but not required.
• Understanding of electrical industry and products
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Good communication skills
• Business acumen
