Offshore Delivery Manager — PH Accounting

The Opportunity

We're looking for an accounting leader who can build a high-performing Philippines delivery operation — not just manage one.

As Offshore Delivery Manager, you will own the performance of our Philippines accounting team supporting US-based clients. Your focus will be straightforward:

Deliver high-quality accounting work. Get new hires billable quickly. Build a team that stays.

You'll own staffing and capacity planning at the account level, establish the team's quality standards, build the training infrastructure, participate in hiring decisions, and develop the people responsible for delivering client work.

Over the next 12 months, the goal is to enable the PH team to support 8–10 additional engagements while increasing billable utilization and maintaining strong first-pass quality.

What You'll Own

Account Staffing & Capacity

You will know exactly how the Philippines team is being deployed across every client.

• Maintain current staffing and capacity plans for every engagement.
  
• Understand who is working on what, where capacity exists, and where teams are stretched.
  
• Identify staffing risks before they become client problems.
  
• Determine whether engagements are correctly staffed based on workload and close requirements.
  
• Establish and improve PH utilization benchmarks.
  
• Partner with recruiting on hiring plans, role requirements, and technical assessments.
  
• Interview candidates and make final hiring recommendations.
  

Accounting Quality

You won't simply manage the schedule — you'll know whether the work is actually right.

• Act as the first escalation point for accounting and workflow questions.
  
• Review work and catch errors before they reach clients.
  
• Establish clear expectations for accounting quality.
  
• Standardize recurring accounting processes through written SOPs.
  
• Document processes covering areas such as bank reconciliations, payroll journals, month-end close, and revenue schedules.
  
• Create at least 10 documented SOPs within the first 6 months and achieve full coverage of recurring work within 12 months.
  

The goal is to create standards that allow a junior accountant to step onto a new engagement and understand exactly how the work should be performed.

Hiring & Talent Development

You'll have a direct role in deciding who joins the team and how quickly they become productive.

• Partner with recruiting to define technical hiring requirements.
  
• Interview and assess accounting candidates.
  
• Make final hiring recommendations.
  
• Build a structured onboarding and training program.
  
• Reduce new-hire time-to-billable to 30 days .
  
• Identify high-potential employees and develop them into stronger accounting professionals and future leaders.
  
• Maintain voluntary PH attrition below 10% annually .
  

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

• Experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Manager, or similar accounting leader .
  
• Experience managing 15–30+ accounting professionals .
  
• Experience hiring accounting professionals directly.
  
• Experience working for an accounting firm, CAS provider, or finance/accounting outsourcing company serving multiple US clients.
  
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP .
  
• Experience reviewing financial/accounting work and being accountable for quality.
  
• Experience working US-overlapping hours.
  
• Philippines-based.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  
• Philippine CPA preferred.

• Experience with offshore accounting delivery.
  
• Experience supporting multiple US clients simultaneously.
  
• Experience building a training or onboarding program.
  
• Experience creating SOPs and process documentation.
  
• Experience improving utilization or capacity planning.
