Hospice Medical Biller

Position: Remote Hospice Medical Biller

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Remote Hospice Medical Biller. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing medical claims for our hospice patients. This is a full-time, remote position with flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

- Review and process medical claims for hospice services

- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations

- Accurately code and bill claims using ICD-10 and CPT codes

- Follow up on denied or rejected claims and resubmit as needed

- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing inquiries

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information

- Adhere to all HIPAA and compliance regulations

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years experience in medical billing, preferably in hospice or home health

- Proficient in ICD-10 and CPT coding

- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing rules and regulations

- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Comfortable working in a remote, virtual environment
