- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and maintain the company’s internal controls, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns, statutory contributions, and other government compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff to improve performance and efficiency.
- Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in accounting operations.
- Handle other related tasks as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
