Text Layout Artist

Job summary:
- Flexible hours available
- 1 year of relevant work experience preferred but not required for this role
- Immediate start available
Responsibilities:
- Read copy and transcripts and check to make sure there are no spelling, grammatical or typographical errors
- Receive copy and note any changes that are needed for writers, typists or editors to change
- Make sure that pages are spaced correctly, so that copy is not cut off during the printing process
- Work with text and images on printed pages and/or screens and layout the manuscript to a book
- Carefully consider composition and page elements including font sizes, styling, and spacing to create a clear flow of information
Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Management, Public Relations, Political Science, Economics, Journalism, Advertising, Mass Communication, and other related courses
- Spelling / Grammar: proficient in language and writing style
- Attention to Details: every punctuation mark is in place and every word spelled correctly
- Teamwork: being a team player makes the job easier
- Good concentration: able to handle tight deadlines
- Flexible: willing to work longer hours when necessary
