Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Magneto Developer to join our growing team of development experts. As a Magento developer you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimizing our web applications using the Magento platform. The ideal candidate needs to have extensive experience dealing with Magento and excel in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. A solid understanding of full web technology stack is also required.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical abilities to solve complex problems with data, a willingness to learn new technologies and tools if necessary and be comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, stakeholders, and products.
What are the primary responsibilities of the Role?
- Develop, customize, and maintain Magento-based e-commerce websites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Optimize website performance and ensure high availability and scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Magento platform
- Implement and manage third-party integrations and extensions
- Ensure the security of the e-commerce platform by following best practices
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Understand the goals and create strategies for each project
- Capable of thriving in a highly collaborative team environment
Experience & Qualifications:
Mandatory (critical for the Role):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working in Magento space
- Excellent experience in developing Magento modules
- Excellent working experience on Magento architecture, ecosystems, performance, security and patches
- Magento certifications are highly valued
- Proficiency in front-end development and technologies
- Good understanding of modern UI/UX
- Fundamental understanding and experience working with APIs, web services, IPaaS, and integrations
- Experience with complete eCommerce and ability to work autonomously against timelines
Key Technical Skills
Skills (Technical, Business, Leadership)
- Advanced knowledge of Magneto 2.x, JavaScript, HTML, PHP (8+), CSS
- Advanced knowledge of Magento cloud infrastructure & services
- Understanding of Magento extension architecture and code structure
- Proficient in MySQL
- Good understanding of Redis, Rabbit MQ, Elastic Search/OpenSearch, Fastly, PHP 8+
- Understanding of monitoring tools e.g. New Relic
- Experience using Jira and Google Analytics is preferable
