Retail Assistant

- Customer Service: Greet customers as they enter the store, provide assistance with product selection, and address customer inquiries and concerns.
- Sales Support: Assist in achieving store sales goals by actively engaging customers, suggesting products, and upselling when appropriate.
- Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash, and manage returns and exchanges.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, and assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Store Presentation: Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing. This includes arranging products, maintaining display areas, and ensuring promotional materials are up to date.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of the store’s products and services to effectively assist customers and promote items.
- Merchandising: Assist with product displays, ensuring items are neatly arranged and positioned according to store standards.
- Sales Floor Assistance: Help customers locate products, answer questions, and ensure they have a positive shopping experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and managers to ensure smooth operations, efficient service, and customer satisfaction.
- Security: Ensure store security by monitoring for theft and reporting any suspicious activity to management.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not always required.

- Ability to work well in a team and interact positively with customers.
- Basic numeracy skills to handle transactions accurately.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems and cash registers.
