Short-Form YouTube Shorts Editor – Fast-Paced/Meme Content
I’m looking for a reliable video editor to help edit YouTube Shorts for a growing entertainment/meme channel.
The content is mainly funny clips/rankings reactions and viral moments. I want the videos to feel fast-paced, entertaining and designed to keep viewers watching until the end.
What I need from you
● Edit vertical YouTube Shorts (9:16 / 1080×1920)
● Strong hook in the first 1–2 seconds
● Fast pacing and cuts
● Captions/subtitles
● Zooms and punch-ins
● Well-timed sound effects
● Memes/reaction effects where appropriate
● Background music when it improves the video
● Smooth transitions
● Good timing and comedic editing
● Editing focused on viewer retention
● Export videos ready to upload directly to YouTube
Editing style
I don’t want basic cuts with random effects.
I want edits that feel modern, funny and highly engaging, similar to successful viral YouTube Shorts.
The editor should understand when to use:
● SFX
● Zooms
● Text
● Pauses
● Quick cuts
● Music
● Visual emphasis
without making the video feel overloaded.
Software
CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects or similar software is fine.
Experience
Shorts/TikTok/Reels editing experience is preferred.
Please send examples of Shorts you have personally edited. I am particularly interested in videos with strong pacing, captions, sound effects and retention-focused editing.
Trial
I will provide a short clip for a paid editing test.
If the test is good, there will be ongoing work and the possibility of increasing the rate for a reliable editor who consistently produces high-quality Shorts.
Pay
Starting around $3–$5 per finished Short, depending on editing quality and complexity.
The goal is to build a long-term working relationship with the right editor.
