Architectural Drafter - U.S. Wood-Framing & Structural Drafting

**Remote | Full-Time**

Do you have hands-on experience drafting **U.S. wood-framed residential homes**? We're looking for an experienced **Architectural Drafter** to support our client's internal design and construction documentation team.

This is a technical drafting role focused on producing accurate construction documents, not conceptual design or 3D visualization.

### **What You'll Do**

* Create architectural floor plans, elevations, and foundation plans
* Draft floor, wall, and roof framing plans
* Convert sketches, redlines, and markups into accurate CAD drawings
* Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP information
* Ensure drawing accuracy, consistency, and quality control

### **What We're Looking For**

✅ Proven experience with **U.S. wood-framed residential construction** (required)

✅ AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting software

✅ Experience with framing plans, construction documents, and residential permitting sets

✅ Strong understanding of U.S. wood-frame building methods and lumber specifications

✅ Ability to follow drafting standards, templates, and layer structures

✅ Willingness to complete a practical CAD assessment

### **Nice to Have**

* New York residential project experience
* MEP coordination experience
* Light commercial project exposure
* Knowledge of U.S. building codes and permitting documentation

### **Important**

This role requires **direct experience working on U.S. wood-frame residential projects**. Candidates whose experience is primarily in concrete, steel, civil drafting, or non-residential projects will not be considered.
