Fleet Dispatcher

A fleet Dispatcher coordinates and monitors the movement of vehicles and drivers to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective transportation operations.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule, Dispatch, and route drivers and vehicles efficiently
- Monitor vehicle locations using GPS/Dispatch software
- Instruct drivers regarding routes, delays, emergencies, and delivery instructions
- Adjust schedules in real time due to traffic, weather, or operational changes/Issues
- Track driver hours, compliance, and availability
- Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, fuel usage, and maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations
- Respond promptly to emergencies, breakdowns, accidents, or route changes
- Notify Supervisors/Managers of delivery status, delays, or operational issues
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and delivery documentation
- Ensure, on-time deliveries and minimize operational disruption
- May require availability outside standard business hours, including nights and weekends
- Ensure vehicle checklists are completed and report any issues/concerns to maintenance team/Workshop supervisor
