Job Purpose
The Research Analyst supports strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights on markets, industries, customers, competitors, and expansion opportunities. The role focuses on market studies, trend analysis, and feasibility research to guide branch expansion, new products, sustainability initiatives, and long-term corporate strategy—locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market and industry studies to identify growth opportunities and risks
- Perform competitor analysis, benchmarking, and market positioning reviews
- Analyze customer segments, behavior, and market demand
- Conduct geographic and location analysis for branch and market expansion
- Support feasibility and impact assessments for new markets, branches, or initiatives
- Provide sustainability and ESG-related research inputs when required
- Support product development and assessment through market and performance analysis
- Prepare research reports, presentations, and executive summaries for management
- Maintain structured research data and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics, Development Studies, or related fields
- 2–4 years of experience in research, market analysis, strategy, consulting, or corporate planning
- Experience in financial services, lending, or development finance is an advantage
- Exposure to international markets or OFW-related research is a plus

- Strong analytical and research skills
- Ability to synthesize data into business insights
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis tools
- Experience with market research methodologies (primary and secondary)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Structured, detail-oriented, and highly organized
- Able to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable working with ambiguity
