Description - Process and post medical billing claims to insurance companies accurately and timely.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits before procedures.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance representatives to resolve claim issues.
- Maintain accurate patient records and billing information in the database.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience Level: 1-3 years of experience in medical billing or related field.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes (CPT, ICD-10).
- Qualities and Traits: Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Working Conditions: Typically office-based, with potential for remote work options.
