Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Officer with strong expertise in mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant GAAP standards, and leading a team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical reviews of financial statements for private equity, mutual funds, and hedge funds in accordance with applicable GAAP standards.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and quality of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Review complex accounting matters and resolve financial reporting issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
- Manage daily team operations, monitor deliverables, and ensure timely completion of reporting activities.
- Coach, mentor, and support team members in developing their technical knowledge and professional skills.
- Provide guidance on complex reporting issues and promote continuous improvement in reporting processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address queries and maintain service quality.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting for mutual funds, hedge funds, and/or private equity.
- Strong experience in technical reviews of fund financial statements under applicable GAAP standards, such as US GAAP or IFRS.
- Proven experience managing a team, including workload allocation, performance monitoring, and people development.
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA qualification is an advantage.
- Experience working with global clients or within a financial services or fund administration environment.
- Experience handling complex fund structures and technical accounting matters.
- Proven ability to improve reporting processes and maintain high-quality deliverables.
