PRODUCTION WORKER

GENERAL FUNCTION

The general function of the production worker is to participate in the manufacturing and packaging of process goods and contribute to the smooth operation of the production line. They will also ensure that high quality products are manufactured/packed in compliance with specific standards and procedures set. This Job Description is specific for assignment to the Household / Personal Care section of Production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As Filling Machine Assistant (Operator)/Production Capper/Labeler/Endliner)

1. Operating Liquid Filling Machine – As Operator
2. Ensures proper filling based on the desired fill weight and packaging of the products.
3. Maintains the machine facilities that include Liquid filling machine (LFM), Paste Filling Machine Nozzle1 & Nozzle 2.
4. Ensures that the filling machine and tools used are clean and sanitized before use for next variant.
5. Procedure Compliance

Th personnel will follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure safe and efficient production processes:

1. To ensure quality of the product filled, checks for suspicious underweight goods, floaters/foreign object inside the filled bottles and filled cups (Household Care)
2. Tightly seals caps onto the filled bottles or cover onto filled cups.
3. Attaches sticker labels on the space provided for each bottle or pouch (4 Liters). 
4. Arranges & checks filled sachet or pouch inside specified dispenser and corrugated box and ensures complete count. (Household and Personal Care)
5. Places gun tagger sticker with correct batch number and expiration date on the defined side of the bottle/pouch.
6. Places inkjet coding of information such as batch number, manufacturing and expiry date on the bottle and dispenser. 
7. Checks if information printed on the bottle, dispensers, label side of the cups and filled pouch’s stickers are correct (batch number, expiration date, manufacturing date).
8. Places and arranges correctly counted filled sealed bottles, filled sealed cups, filled sealed pouches or completely packed dispensers inside specified boxes.
9. Ensures that the number of filled bottles, filled cups, filled pouches and dispensers to be packed in a box is the same to the number of bottles, cups, pouches and dispensers indicated on box.
10. Places completed FG or WIP on pallets or pushcarts. 
11. Forms boxes for their assigned filling machine and maintains the height of 

formed boxes at specified levels.

1. Ensures that SKU of the boxes used is the same with the SKU of the current run.
2. Assists filling machine operator in set-up and change of bulk tanks.

1. Cleaning and Sanitizing Activities

The personnel will maintain cleanliness of production equipment, floor and work area to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met.

1. GMP housekeeping. Keeps filling area clean at all times.
2. Maintains cleanliness of area at all times (before & after end of shift): corrugated 

box and other unnecessary items for disposal must be disposed of properly. 

4. Documentation:

1. Fills up necessary forms & checklist properly & completely.
2. Fills up the required information on the top flap of boxes (box number, batch 

number, manufacturing date, packed by).

1. Records output every hour in Household and Personal Care Filling Monitoring Record.
2. Ensures that SKU of the boxes used is the same with SKU of the current run.
3. Reports any incident such as quality issue, deviation and any accidents to assigned Leadman.
4. Performs other production-related tasks as assigned by the superior even for other areas of assignment as required. 

• As Utility

1. Maintains cleanliness of the production floor and orderliness of production waste such as plastics, scrap cartons, trimming wrappers, etc.
2. Keeps the production floor, RO area, gowning rooms and hallways clean at all times.
3. Fills up necessary utility forms & checklist properly & completely.
4. Refills all alcohol dispensers in the production area with 70% ethyl alcohol.
5. Cleans plastic curtains within the production area.
6. Assists filling and mixing operations if needed.
7. Performs other production-related tasks as assigned by the superior even for other areas of assignment as required.

• As Filling Utility

1. Brings requested packaging materials (PM – tubes, boxes, cartons) from packaging staging to their assigned machines and area.
2. Ensures that all PM’s must be on pallets or pushcarts and does not let items touch the floor and walls.
3. Form boxes for their assigned filling machine and maintains the height of formed boxes at specified levels.
4. Brings FGs from machine to assigned pallets, jack wrap and observe proper tagging. 
5. GMP housekeeping. Maintains cleanliness of the production floor and orderliness of production waste such as plastics, scrap cartons, trimming wrappers etc.
6. Reports any incident such as quality issue, deviation and any accidents to assigned Leadman. 
7. Can be move or rotate in other area/task if necessary.
8. Does tasks assign by his superiors.

• As Production Bundler

1. Performs packing of items according to its specific requirement and target rate.

1. Ensures the completeness and accuracy of the items packed.
2. Does inkjet coding of carton, promo cartons and labels as required.
3. Fills up the required information on the top flap of boxes such as batch number, manufacturing date/expiry date, packed/released by, and the date of packing.
4. Reports any incident such as quality issue, deviation and any accidents to assigned Leadman. 
5. Always places completed finish goods (FG) on pallets or pushcarts.
6. Follows GMP housekeeping, keeps the surroundings clean at all times and maintains the orderliness and cleanliness of the area of responsibility.
7. Performs other production-related tasks as assigned by the superior even for other areas of assignment as required.

The personnel will be assigned to any of the above major function upon deployment to Production. Any changes will be documented by the Subcon Agency.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS :

EDUCATION:

• Senior High School Graduate or College level with Basic Math and Communication Courses.
• Graduate of 2 yrs. Vocational/Technical Course is preferred.

TRAINING:

• Good Manufacturing Practices including Basic Hygiene
• Work Safety Training

SKILLS:

• Computer Skills (Microsoft Application such as Word, Excel) preferred
• Communication Skills 
• Basic Problem-Solving Skills
