Pool Attendant – Job Description Job Summary The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming pool area for hotel guests. This role ensures pool facilities are well-maintained, enforces pool rules, provides excellent guest service, and assists guests with their needs while using the pool. Key Responsibilities Monitor the swimming pool area to ensure the safety and comfort of guests. Enforce hotel pool rules and regulations at all times. Clean and maintain the pool deck, lounge chairs, umbrellas, tables, and surrounding areas. Arrange pool furniture and keep the area neat and organized. Provide clean towels to guests and collect used towels for laundering. Report any maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards immediately. Check and replenish pool supplies as needed. Assist guests with inquiries and provide courteous, friendly service. Ensure the pool area is prepared before opening and properly secured after closing. Coordinate with the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments regarding cleanliness and repairs. Respond appropriately to emergencies and immediately notify the appropriate personnel. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or recreational facility is an advantage. Good customer service and communication skills. Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods. Able to lift, move, and arrange pool furniture and equipment. Responsible, dependable, and attentive to safety. Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is an advantage. Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
