Backhoe Operator

Job Description
- Operate backhoe for excavation, trenching, backfilling, and loading.
- Perform digging for utilities, drainage, roadworks, and foundations.
- Follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions.
- Conduct daily equipment inspection and basic preventive maintenance.
- Observe DOLE and company safety regulations.
- Coordinate with foreman, engineers, and ground crew.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of equipment.
- Report mechanical issues and site hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or vocational course (TESDA training preferred).
- NC II in Heavy Equipment Operation (Backhoe) from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (preferred/required by employer).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- At least 3–5 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
- Familiar with construction site safety standards.
- Physically fit and willing to work extended hours/on-site.
- With good teamwork and communication skills.
