- Assist the Captain and First Officer in navigation and operations.
- Oversee the maintenance of safety equipment and lifeboats.
- Monitor cargo operations and ensure proper stowage.
- Conduct regular safety training and drills.
- Assist in managing ship communications and documentation.
- Support watchkeeping duties and maintain lookout.
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or related field.
- Experience Level: Less than 1 year of relevant maritime or seafaring experience.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in safety management practices, knowledge of maritime regulations, and operational safety protocols.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Assist in navigation, manage deck operations, and ensure safety compliance on board.
- Working Conditions: Working on ships in various weather conditions, often away from home for extended periods.
- Qualities and Traits: Strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
