Project Estimator /Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

The Estimator for HVAC is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects, while supporting procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services.

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation to prepare accurate estimates for time, cost, materials, equipment, and labor.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for HVAC materials, equipment, labor, and other project requirements.
• Consult with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements, technical information, and pricing.
• Source and canvass materials, equipment, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and maintain an updated directory of suppliers, subcontractors, and other vendors.
• Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with the Procurement team regarding material availability, lead times, pricing, and supplier requirements.
• Review and adjust estimates as necessary based on changes in scope, specifications, material prices, and supplier quotations.
• Assist in preparing purchase requests, purchase orders, and other procurement-related documents based on approved project requirements.
• Monitor material and equipment pricing trends and maintain updated cost databases for future estimates.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure consistency between approved estimates, project requirements, and actual procurement costs.
