Job Description

The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance (QA) will be primarily responsible for overseeing, developing, delivering, and maintaining Currencycloud’s Quality Assurance (QA) Methodology and procedures, along with supporting Visa Director of Quality Assurance Compliance with the ongoing development and implementation of Quality Assurance processes monitoring Visa’s financial crime compliance operations. The Senior Manager, QA will Manage and lead a team of 3. The Senior Manager QA will also train and mentor the Currencycloud Quality Assurance team as a subject matter expert with deep understanding of Currencycloud’s compliance operations, risks, clients, and systems.

· Lead, Manage and develop a team located in the Philippines. 

 

· Manage and lead the Currency Cloud QA execution timely on a monthly basis.

· Train and mentor the Currencycloud QA team. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between team members across time zones and cultures. Provide regular feedback, coaching, training, and mentorship to the team.

· Own the key QA documents and workbooks, including the QA Methodology, QA Desktop Procedures, Monthly QA Workbook Template, and Monthly QA Results Deck.

· Lead and deliver projects to enhance QA for Currencycloud, such as expanding QA to additional compliance processes, and enhancing sampling methodology.

· Collaborate with peer QA functions to deliver cross-functional initiatives.

· Shared responsibility for preparation and presentation of monthly QA results to senior compliance leadership and process owners, including supporting QA team members to prepare and present monthly test results.

· Collaborate with Currencycloud compliance leadership and compliance process owners to share findings, themes, and root causes, and help first-line compliance functions drive better QA outcomes.

· Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Currencycloud senior compliance leadership, compliance process owners, and cross-functional peers in the Visa QA function.

· Support the Visa Director of QA Compliance to respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders (e.g. internal and external auditors, and requests from regulators).

• Execute QA testing for Currencycloud compliance processes and establish themes and root causes for findings.

• Keep abreast of developments in financial crime legislation and regulation in jurisdictions where Currencycloud holds authorisation to provide financial services.

• Support Visa Director of QA Compliance as required on projects and any other ad hoc regulatory compliance projects.

• Promote and embed the Currencycloud Assurance team culture and Visa leadership principles in the team.

· Maintain strong record keeping concerning testing, changes and rationales.

 

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

What we’re after…

Essential: 

• A strong detailed understanding of quality assurance along with the core pillars of effective risk management around AML and Financial Crime.. 

• Recognized compliance and/or audit qualification (ICA, ACAMS or similar) and/or educated to relevant degree level. 

• Excellent operational knowledge and understanding of UK regulations and legislation including, but not limited to, the Payment Services Regulations, Criminal Finances Act and their application. 

• A strong team player with a positive attitude, who has attention to detail, extremely organised and shows initiative. 

• A clear communicator, with a high standard of written English. 

• Team management experience – ideally with both domestic and international direct reports.

Preferred: 

• At least 5 years’ Quality Assurance experience within Financial Services or cross border payments institution. 

• Able to take a flexible and agile approach and respond to changing priorities. 

• Adept at working independently and multi-tasking.
