Team Leader Insurance Account

Job Summary

The Team Leader – Insurance Accounts is responsible for managing a team handling insurance-related accounting and operational activities. This role ensures accurate processing, compliance with regulatory and client requirements, timely delivery of work, and continuous improvement in team performance and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of insurance account executives/associates
• Allocate daily work, monitor workloads, and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skill development
• Handle escalations and resolve team or client-related issues

Insurance Accounts Operations

• Oversee processing of premiums, claims accounting, commissions, and reconciliations
• Ensure accurate posting of transactions in insurance accounting systems
• Review and approve reports, statements, and reconciliations prepared by the team
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and client SLAs

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned insurance accounts
• Communicate effectively with clients, underwriters, brokers, and internal teams
• Support audits and respond to client or management queries

Process Improvement & Quality Control

• Monitor KPIs, productivity, and quality metrics
• Identify process gaps and implement efficiency improvements
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and contribute to process documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1 - 3 years of experience in insurance accounts or insurance operations
• Minimum 1–2 years of team handling or supervisory experience
