We are looking for a self-motivated estimator who can work alongside a number of our team.To be successful as an estimator, you should stay up-to-date with estimating software, material pricing and manufacturing processes. You should be willing to follow company policies, values and requirements and be able to work on a schedule. An exceptional estimator will demonstrate impeccable attention to detail, strong organizational skills and sound knowledge of fabrication, sheet metal and production processes.

What You’ll Do

• Start and manage quotes within Zoho estimating systems.
  
• Review quote requests and identify any missing information required for accurate pricing.
  
• Enter materials, labour and processing requirements into estimates.
  
• Ensure folded items are listed separately and correctly detailed.
  
• Create and maintain organised OneDrive job folders and subfolders for all quote documentation.
  
• Save and manage drawings, DXF files, LXD files and related customer documentation.
  
• Complete nesting in CypCut and calculate sheet quantities, cut times and folding requirements.
  
• Estimate jobs manually where DXF files are unavailable or refer jobs to drafting when required.
  
• Obtain supplier pricing for coatings, galvanising and freight where applicable.
  
• Apply drafting allowances and company markup structures as required.
  
• Add all part quantities and descriptions from customer quote requests accurately.
  
• Assign quote ownership and ensure quotes are completed, saved and filed correctly.
  
• Identify and communicate potential production or estimating issues to the rest of the team.
  
• Be willing to join team meetings and be on screen during the day.
  
• Be willing to use additional software and systems for estimating, file storage and nesting processes.
  

Requirements

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who:

• Experience in estimating, fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing environments preferred.
  
• Experience using estimating and nesting software such as Zoho and CypCut favourable.
  
• Strong understanding of materials, fabrication processes, folding and production workflows.
  
• Ability to organise and maintain accurate digital records and job folders.
  
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  
• Ability to work to schedules and pivot where needed.
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to respond well to feedback and maintain a positive attitude
