1.Assist drivers in securing all delivery documents, including delivery receipts and material/item supplier or customer paperwork.
2.Help drivers organize and maintain all necessary delivery equipment, such as maintenance tools, delivery straps and shackles, tarpaulin covers, and other paraphernalia.
3.Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean and properly prepared before departure, verifying that all doors and windows are securely closed.
4.Handle the loading and unloading of items for both delivery and pick-up.
5. Possesses knowledge of proper cargo arrangement and lashing procedures.
6.Ensure that items loaded in the truck are properly secured, organized, and protected to prevent damage during transit.
7.Verify items for delivery based on delivery receipts, invoices, or packing lists to ensure accuracy.
8.Accompany the driver to assigned delivery locations and support timely completion of delivery schedules.
9.Coordinate with customers on-site, assist in obtaining acknowledgement or signature for proof of delivery.
10. Handle goods with proper care and adhere to handling requirements for fragile or sensitive items.
11.Provide directions and navigation assistance to the driver to ensure appropriate routing.
12.Assist in basic troubleshooting and emergency repairs, such as changing tires or checking load security.
13.Adhere to company safety policies, traffic rules, and operational procedures at all times.
14.Report concerns, delivery issues, delays, and damaged items to the Superior or Dispatch immediately.
15. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time to support operational efficiency.
