What you'll be doing
- Operate and maintain a variety of machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses to fabricate, repair, and modify metal parts and components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate and precise machining
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and machinery, and implement solutions to resolve problems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
- Proficient in the use of various machine tools, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment
