Canadian Mortgage Closing & Funding Specialist
Velocity Experience Preferred | 30 Hours/Week | Remote

We are looking for an experienced, highly organized Closing & Funding Specialist to  support a busy, high-performing Canadian mortgage brokerage.  This is a mortgage operations role focused on helping move files efficiently through the  closing and funding process. You will support the brokerage with document packages,  compliance, file management, and mortgage administration.

This is not a client-facing role. We are specifically looking for someone who is detail- oriented, comfortable working behind the scenes, and experienced with mortgage files,  documentation, and administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and organize mortgage document packages
• Support mortgage files through the closing and funding stages
• Review files to ensure required documents are complete and properly organized
• Assist with mortgage compliance documentation and file preparation
• Upload, organize, and maintain documents within the brokerage's systems
• Track outstanding documents and missing information
• Follow up internally on incomplete or outstanding file requirements
• Maintain accurate, complete, and organized mortgage files
• Ensure documentation is properly recorded and stored
• Support brokers and the internal team with mortgage-related administrative tasks
• Help keep mortgage files progressing efficiently toward closing and funding
• Complete additional mortgage administration responsibilities as assigned
  Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with direct mortgage industry experience who understands the  importance of accuracy, documentation, compliance, and deadlines.  Strong candidates will have experience working with mortgage brokers, brokerages,  lenders, underwriting teams, fulfillment teams, or mortgage administration departments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working in the mortgage industry
• Strong understanding of mortgage documentation and file administration
• Experience supporting mortgage files through closing and/or funding
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple mortgage files and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to identify missing or incomplete documentation
• Comfortable following detailed processes and compliance requirements
• Strong written English communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Fast learner who can quickly adapt to new systems and workflows
• Reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Strongly Preferred

• Experience with Canadian mortgages
• Experience using Velocity
• Experience preparing mortgage document packages
• Experience with mortgage compliance documentationPrevious experience supporting Canadian mortgage brokers or brokerages
• Familiarity with mortgage closing and funding workflows
• Candidates with direct Canadian mortgage experience will be strongly prioritized.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• 12:00 PM–6:00 PM Eastern Time
• 30 hours per week
• Applicants must be consistently available during these working hours.
