HVAC Designer

The HVAC Designer is responsible for designing HVAC systems for residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and retail projects. The position involves preparing design calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and reports while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, codes, and project requirements. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage responsibilities with minimal supervision, and deliver accurate and reliable design outputs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC systems, including air conditioning, chilled water, and ventilation systems.

• Perform cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection.

• Prepare HVAC drawings, design reports, technical specifications, and related documentation.

• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE standards, local codes, and project requirements.

• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.

• Conduct site inspections, surveys, and data gathering activities as required.

• Participate in project meetings and provide technical design support.

• Review project requirements and recommend appropriate HVAC solutions.

• Assist in project coordination and design revisions during project execution.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in HVAC or mechanical design.

• Proficient in AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of Revit is an advantage.

• Experience in commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, or industrial projects is preferred.

• Knowledgeable in HVAC system design, load calculations, and equipment selection.

• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and applicable local codes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and deliver accurate design outputs with minimal supervision.
