- Installation : Install wiring, lighting systems, control panels, generators, transformers, and other electrical devices and fixtures.
- Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure they are in good working order.
- Repair : Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions and equipment using specialized tools.
- Inspection : Inspect electrical components, systems, and wiring to ensure they are safe and meet regulatory requirements.
- Diagrams : Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and work orders to understand project requirements.
- Testing : Use testing devices, such as ammeters and voltmeters, to diagnose issues and test conductivity.
- Safety Compliance : Ensure all work adheres to electrical codes, standards, and regulations, and identify and mitigate safety hazards.
- Documentation : Keep records of work completed, materials used, and repairs made.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency with electrical theory, tools, and testing equipment, as well as the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Problem-Solving : Strong ability to diagnose problems, find solutions, and make effective repairs.
- Detail-Oriented : Meticulous attention to detail to ensure safety and accuracy in installations and repairs.
- Physical Stamina : Ability to work in various conditions, including lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and performing strenuous tasks.
- Safety Mindset : A strong commitment to safety procedures and an understanding of potential hazards in the work environment.
- Communication : Ability to work effectively with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients.
