We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced tailor to join our team. The tailor will be responsible for designing, altering, and repairing garments to meet the needs and satisfaction of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent sewing skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take accurate measurements of clients and assess their garment needs.
- Design, construct, and modify clothing based on client specifications.
- Perform alterations, including hemming, resizing, repairing, and embellishments.
- Use sewing machines, hand-stitching techniques, and other tools effectively.
- Ensure the quality, fit, and style of finished garments meet high standards.
- Advise clients on fabric selection, style, and garment care.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety procedures.
- Keep up-to-date with current fashion trends and tailoring techniques.
- Proven experience as a tailor, dressmaker, or similar role.
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines and other tailoring tools.
- Strong knowledge of different fabrics, patterns, and garment construction.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently.
- Creativity and problem-solving skills for design challenges.
Preferred:
- Certification or formal training in tailoring, fashion design, or a related field.
- Experience with bespoke tailoring or luxury garment construction.
