The Human Resource Officer plays a pivotal role in driving positive change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. Working closely with the HR Director, this position provides essential guidance and support to both employees and management on a wide array of HR-related matters. Responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding processes, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, statutory benefits administration, contract and records management, labor relations and policy making, ensuring occupational safety and health compliance, HRIS management and automation, addressing employee grievances, social media management, regulatory compliance, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection.
Coordinate comprehensive onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.

2. Employee Relations and Employee Engagement:

Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolution as needed.
Recognize and celebrate employee achievements and milestones to boost morale and motivation.

3. Performance Management:

Administer performance management processes, including KPI goal setting and feedback sessions.
Collaborate with managers to identify performance improvement opportunities and implement strategies for development.

4. Learning and Development:

Identify training needs and develop programs to support professional growth and career advancement.

5. Negotiation

Negotiate with 3rd parties to ensure companies needs are met and exceeded

6. Comp & Ben and Statutory Benefits Management:

Oversee the administration of statutory benefits, such as healthcare, retirement plans, and leave policies.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing employee benefits.
Annually conduct salary benchmarking to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive within the market.

7. Contract and Records Management:

Maintain accurate employee records and documentation, including contracts, personnel files, etc.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Create and maintain HR reporting and visibility tools

8. Labor Relations:

Collaborate with HR Director to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and organizational objectives.
Stay informed about labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

9. Policy Making:

Ensure thorough and consistent implementation of policies and procedures.
Proactively profile, suggest and create policies (with senior management direction/sign off)

10. Occupational Safety and Health Compliance:

Monitor workplace safety practices and procedures to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Implement and enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards.

11. HRIS Management and Automation:

Manage HRIS systems and databases to maintain accurate employee records and generate reports as needed.
Implement HR automation tools and technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

12. Employee Grievances Handling:

Address employee grievances promptly and impartially, conducting thorough investigations and facilitating resolutions.
Uphold fairness and confidentiality throughout the grievance handling process.

13. Social Media Management:

Manage the organization's social media presence in accordance with branding guidelines and industry best practices.
Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and monitor feedback to enhance the company's online reputation.

14. Regulatory Compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

Ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Support CSR initiatives and promote ethical business practices within the organization and the community.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in HR, specializing in labor relations, recruitment, government mandated benefits, and performance management.
Extensive familiarity and exposure to all facets of Human Resources.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Proven expertise of policy profiling, creation and maintenance.
