Projects & Automation Engineer

Position Purpose:

Lead and implement robustification measures and guidelines throughout the factory, ensuring compliance from all departments. Conduct regular audits and health checks, maintaining thorough audit documentation.
Lead the maintenance of engineering and automation systems including but not limited to SCADA, PLCs, DCS, BMS and other Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS).
Support the automation team in optimizing automation systems. Provide training and support to junior engineers and team members by sharing best practices.

Position Description:

Support the automation team in optimizing automation systems: Siemens, Beckhoff, KNX, CAN bus controllers, Profibus, ProfiNet, etc., for currently installed production machinery, software modification/debugging, MES system enhancements, preventive and corrective actions in relation to the current assignment.
Lead and implement robustification measures and guidelines throughout the factory, ensuring compliance from all departments. Conduct regular audits and health checks, maintaining thorough audit documentation.
Lead the maintenance of engineering and automation systems including but not limited to SCADA, PLCs, DCS, BMS and other Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS).
Provide training and support to junior engineers and team members by sharing best practices. Facilitate communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams to ensure open dialogue and strong support as needed.
Collaborate with Global Engineering, Primary and M&P, and IT teams to optimize manufacturing processes. Ensure alignment with global counterparts and stay informed about the latest standards and policies.
Perform any other tasks commissioned by the supervisor. Compliance with EHS procedures, labour law, corporate guidance, internal regulations and work performance instructions.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Automatic Control and Robotics) or any related Automation or IT related course
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position, with background in Project management. Experience in tobacco industry is an advantage.
Excellent command of speaking and writing English language, with clear & assertive communication skills
Good project management skills and structured when working on projects.
Good problem solving skills for technical problems.
Good knowledge on local and global standards.
