Job Summary

Lead the Site Finance & Controllership function by setting the site finance operating rhythm, review standards, escalation discipline, and team priorities across site general accounting, inventory and fixed assets, accounts payable coordination, treasury coordination, and site financial planning support.

The role ensures that plant-level financial transactions, close inputs, accruals, cut-off, reconciliations, asset and inventory evidence, site budget and forecast inputs, capex support, and audit schedules are complete, timely, controlled, and aligned with head office finance standards. It connects site operating events - such as outages, maintenance activities, contractor mobilization, receiving cut-off, spares movements, capex phasing, and plant work orders - to financial evidence and issue escalation so that head office receives reliable, review-ready site outputs.

The role applies and reinforces corporate accounting policies, planning templates, approval rules, and control standards at site level. Head office retains ownership of enterprise accounting policy, technical accounting positions, statutory reporting, consolidation, revenue/trading matters, tariff and market settlement matters, and enterprise investment methodology. The site role owns local execution, evidence quality, issue identification, and timely escalation.

Key Responsibilities:

Set the site finance calendar, close cadence, planning submission timetable, review routines, evidence standards, escalation paths, and management reporting rhythm so that all site finance outputs are coordinated, timely, and aligned with head office requirements.
Oversee site month-end and year-end close support, journal governance, accrual and cut-off discipline, reconciliations, GL analysis, inventory/fixed asset accounting support, and audit-ready workpaper quality.
Review site budget and forecast inputs, plant cost drivers, capex phasing, maintenance and outage assumptions, contractor and spares cost trends, site variance explanations, and action trackers before submission to head office.
Ensure inventory counts, spares movements, fixed asset tagging, CWIP support, capitalization readiness, transfers, retirements, and impairment or obsolescence indicators are evidenced through plant records and coordinated with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and head office.
Coordinate site finance dependencies with AP, treasury, procurement, warehouse, and operations, including payment readiness, GR/IR and receiving cut-off, contractor billing issues, advances, clearing accounts, and committed spend visibility.
Lead site finance team priorities, coaching, workload management, first-line issue resolution, review discipline, capability development, and constructive challenge with site leadership while escalating material policy, judgment, or governance issues to head office.

Qualifications:

Education Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Management Accounting, or related discipline.
Experience At least 15 to 20 years of progressive experience in controllership, site finance, accounting operations, general ledger, asset/inventory accounting, audit support, or plant/industrial finance, including people leadership and site stakeholder exposure.

Licenses / Certifications

CPA is strongly preferred. CMA, CIA, CISA, Lean/Six Sigma, project management,
ERP, data analytics, or related certifications are an advantage.
