Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines) is looking for competent Bosun with relevant seagoing experience, willing to be trained, challenged and expand their knowledge onboard our technically advanced container vessels with the best and latest machinery.

A key position in the deck department onboard one of the world's largest Container shipping company where seafarers are onboarded and equipped to perform and contribute to deliver the vessel commitments. Seafarers are trained and guided in achieving their personal development and career advancement. We ensure to prioritize health and safety, promote diversity and inclusion and at all times carry out the upright practice both at sea and ashore.

Recruitment Criteria:

Minimum of 12 months sea service experience as Bosun in the deck department of foreign going Container vessels
Working knowledge of spoken English
Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security related duties
Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire-Abandonship-Man overboard-Oil Spill)
Awareness of Safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents
Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements

Key Responsibilities:
Aside from the requirements for the AB rank, demonstrate leadership support abilities in handling deck crew for job orders

Overall responsible for deck maintenance; housekeeping of deck areas.
In charge on mooring/unmooring and anchoring operation
Ensure safety protocols are followed
Conduct regular inspections of deck equipment
