Our company is looking for a IT Support Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure connectivity of IT systems and the internet;
  • Ensure clients are kept up to date regarding their incidents and requests;
  • Ensure that all the incidents / requests are responded to within required SLA;
  • Be responsible for latest security AV as well as all relevant patches;
  • Installing software, operating systems and setting up equipment for users;
  • Install and configure software, hardware as well as PCs and laptops;
  • Be proactive and innovative in the End User environment;
  • Document all tasks and duties;
  • customer service excellence;
  • Manage Stakeholder relationships i.e. Suppliers and ISPs;
  • Internal and external Client Support;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues (Windows/Linux);
  • Office and site visits;
  • Ensure that all IT hardware or software problems are resolved with SLA;
  • Remote management and support.

Requirements:

  • Mikrotik Certification;
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as an IT Infrastructure support technician;
  • CCNA;
  • Previous involvement and knowledge of retail environment will be beneficial;
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) essential (transcripts will be requested);
  • Knowledge of TCP /IP, DHCP and DNS;
  • Grade 12;
  • Experience with the configuration and administration of Office 365;
  • Must be able to do rotational standby;
  • Valid drivers license and vehicle;
  • IT Diploma OR MCSE/A+/N+ Certifications;
  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in support environment essential;
  • Minimum A+ N+ or similar preferable;
  • Networking: o TCP/IP o Connectivity â good understanding of network switches, general cabling, routers, VPNs, ISPs, wireless technologies.
