Tax Accountant I assists in the maintenance and preparation of tax-related items to include tax records, tax returns, tax schedules, and related tax reports. Helps with the preparation of local, state and federal level returns to be submitted within specified tax deadlines. Being a Tax Accountant I may require a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. The Tax Accountant I works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Tax Accountant I typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.

  • Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax fillings;
  • Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work with external partners;
  • Advise rider management and finance department regarding tax impact of existing strategies and new laws on tax liabilities;
  • Attend to all BIR concerns of Rider Management.

Requirements:

  • Taxation;
  • BCom Accounting & Hdip Tax /MCom Tax;
  • Accounting Articles Completed;
  • Tax Advisory Experience;
  • Experience from Audit Firm is an added advantage;
  • organizing and planning;
  • Expertise on Corporate and other taxes;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and alone;
  • Processing Information;
  • Presentation Skills;
  • Comfortable working alone and with very strict deadline;
  • Auditing and Compliance;
  • Report writing;
  • At least 2 years experience on Tax compliance: computation, reconciliation, and reporting;
  • Microsoft / MS Excel.
