Maintenance Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the processing of permit;
- Departmental budget compilation and control of expenditure;
- Will be executing physical maintenance on site with other site personnel who are unqualified;
- Conduct repairs on broken equipment;
- Apply problem solving to provide solutions to mechanical and electrical breakdowns of process equipment;
- Maintain strict health & safety standards including supervision of specialist suppliers and contractors;
- Legal GMR2.1 appointment on site;
- Understanding and management of the plant process operating parameters;
- Coordinate maintenance by specialist suppliers and contractors;
- The compilation, implementation, and coordination of a preventative maintenance plan;
- Day shift (on call, no overtime);
- Preparation, tracking, monitoring, optimisation and reporting of the preventative maintenance plan and breakdowns;
- Supervising apprenticeships – developing low level personnel;
- Sourcing and co-ordinating contractors where needed;
- Input to business plant portfolio for optimisation Millwright plus maintenance management experience.
Requirements:
- Government Certificate of Competency (Factories) preferred;
- Drivers License and PdP;
- Good negotiation skills;
- Ability to weld;
- Maintenance management;
- Excellent people management and team building skills;
- Methodological approach to problem solving;
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification;
- Overall 5 – 8 years in manufacturing environment (FMCG / Food / Beverage industry);
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership skills;
- A minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance in the FMCG company;
- Relevant qualifications (Certification re electrical / aircon / plumbing etc would be great);
- B Degree with min 5 years management experience.
