Medical Billing Specialist

Key Responsibilities: - Manage inbound and outbound calls, emails, and chats regarding patient billing and insurance-related inquiries.
- Guide patients in understanding their billing statements, charges, and insurance coverage details.
- Investigate and resolve billing issues, claim denials, and payment discrepancies.
- Accurately record all customer interactions in the system while ensuring compliance with regulations such as HIPAA and TCPA.
- Escalate complicated billing or compliance concerns to the appropriate senior staff when necessary.
- Inform patients about payment arrangements, insurance benefits, and available financial assistance programs.
- Achieve performance goals including resolution time, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- At least 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), or customer support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex billing information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
