Restaurant Team Member / Service Crew
Position Overview
As a Service Crew Team Member, you are the face and energy of our restaurant. In a casual dining environment, your goal is to deliver exceptionally friendly, fast, and accurate service. You will work across multiple stations—including greeting guests, taking orders, preparing light food or beverages, and maintaining a spotless dining room. You thrive in a high-energy team environment and love making people smile through great food and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience & Hospitality: Welcome guests with genuine warmth, guide them through the menu, answer questions about ingredients or allergens, and provide recommendations.
- Order Management & POS: Accurately take guest orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle cash and card transactions responsibly, and ensure correct modifications are communicated to the kitchen.
- Food & Beverage Preparation: Assemble orders accurately, package takeout/delivery orders securely, and prepare drinks or simple menu items according to brand standards and recipes.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace. Routinely clear and wipe down tables, sweep the dining area, restock condiment stations, and follow all food safety and health department guidelines.
- Teamwork & Communication: Coordinate smoothly with kitchen staff (Back of House) and management to ensure food is served hot, fresh, and on time. Help teammates during peak rushes.
What We Look For (Requirements)
- Experience: Previous experience in restaurant, retail, or customer service is a plus, but not required —we are happy to train the right attitude!
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a positive, energetic personality. Ability to multitask under pressure during busy lunch or dinner rushes.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and lift up to 25–30 lbs when restocking inventory.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Age/Certifications: Must meet local minimum age requirements to work in food service (Food Handler's card/permit required upon hire or within 30 days).
