Laboratory Technician (Manila)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue laboratory materials, reagents, apparatus, and equipment needed for classes, research, and experiments.
- Assist faculty members, students, and researchers with laboratory requirements and activities.
- Monitor, inspect, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on laboratory equipment when necessary.
- Maintain inventories of chemicals, glassware, laboratory supplies, and equipment.
- Prepare and update laboratory records, calibration reports, equipment service logs, and inventory reports.
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of laboratory facilities.
- Observe and enforce laboratory safety procedures and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Coordinate the procurement and replenishment of laboratory supplies and materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related course (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, Physics, or related fields).
- Training or experience in laboratory procedures and equipment handling.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and inventory management.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
