IT Business Solutions Analyst (Data Engineer)

The IT Business Solutions Analyst is a hybrid role combining business analysis and hands-on data engineering , acting as a bridge between business and IT while also supporting the design, development, and optimization of scalable data solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with business, IT, and data teams to translate business needs into data pipelines, integrations, and analytics-ready solutions , ensuring reliable and efficient data flow across systems.

This position plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making by building and supporting modern data platforms and pipelines , while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, and operational priorities.

As an IT Business Solutions Analyst, you will:

• Act as a key interface between business stakeholders and IT, translating requirements into data-driven solutions and technical specifications

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure technologies

• Support data ingestion, transformation, and integration across multiple systems

• Participate in data migration and system implementation projects , including planning and execution

• Work with structured and unstructured data to ensure availability, quality, and consistency

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver analytics-ready datasets and reporting solutions

• Support data modeling and data architecture design for reporting and analytics use cases

• Support incident and problem management activities to minimize business disruption and ensure continuity of operations

• Monitor and optimize data pipelines, workflows, and system performance

• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal impact to business operations

• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize data processes and platforms

Requirements : 

• Bachelor’s degree in  Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• At least 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar roles

• Proven experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines

• Strong experience with Azure data services , such as:

  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Data Lake (ADLS)

• Experience working with  cross-functional teams (business + IT)

• Strong proficiency in SQL and data scripting (e.g., Python)

• Experience with data modeling , data transformation, and data integration across systems

• Hands-on experience working with data pipelines, large datasets, and data platforms

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Proficient in English (written and verbal)

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience in data migration or system-to-system integration

• Exposure to  reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)

• Experience working in  Agile / project delivery environments

• Understanding of  data governance and data quality frameworks

• Experience working with cross-functional teams (business + IT)
