Boiler Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily boiler parameters to ensure high efficiency, stability, and uninterrupted steam supply to meet production requirements.
  • Formulate and update clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to serve as operational guidelines for the boiler crew.
  • Plan, organize, and execute routine repairs, water treatment protocols, and critical preventive maintenance shutdown activities.
  • Partner with MPIC to manage the incoming supply of rice hull fuel and ensure that smoke emissions are actively controlled and minimized at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Head to arrange smoke stack sampling schedules for complete DENR compliance.
  • Prepare accurate daily and weekly boiler performance reports for plant leadership.
  • Coordinate with internal electrical and mechanical engineering teams, as well as third-party technical service providers.
  • Proactively advise plant management on necessary infrastructure upgrades, automation opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Maximum boiler operational efficiency with minimal unplanned downtime.
  • 100% compliance with local, national, and environmental regulatory standards.
  • Up-to-date SOPs and seamlessly executed preventive maintenance shutdown plans.
  • Accurate, timely daily and weekly technical reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer. Having a Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) license is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial boiler operations.
  • Proven experience within a distillery manufacturing or closely related heavy process manufacturing environment is required.
  • Deep understanding of biomass/rice-hull boiler mechanics, feed-water chemistry/treatment, and emissions control systems.
  • Exceptional organizational, goal-setting, and controlling skills with a strong focus on team safety and results.
  • Proactive troubleshooting capabilities to address mechanical anomalies or water treatment variations early.
  • Strong external coordination skills for dealing with government agencies and regulatory auditors.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office for tracking metrics and report writing.
