General Accountant

General Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Prepare and maintain journal entries, general ledger accounts, and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile accounts (cash, inventory, cost centers, intercompany accounts).
• Process accruals, amortizations, depreciation, and monthly closing activities.

Financial Statements & Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate financial reports required by management, investors, or project stakeholders.
• Support statutory audit requirements and ensure timely submission.

Regulatory Compliance (Philippines & Energy Sector)

• Ensure compliance with BIR regulations (VAT, EWT, Income Tax, Relief/SLSP, etc.).
• Prepare and file statutory returns such as VAT, EWT, 2307, 2550M/Q, 1701/1702, and other relevant forms.
• Assist in submissions to DOE, ERC, PEZA, SEC, and LGUs when applicable.

Cost & Project Accounting

• Monitor project expenses, fuel costs, energy production costs, and O&M expenditures.
• Track capital expenditures (CAPEX) for plant, equipment, and renewable energy projects.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for energy projects and operations.

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Review invoices, purchase orders, and contracts for accuracy and proper coding.
• Monitor payments to suppliers, contractors, and energy service providers.
• Ensure timely billing and collection

Treasury & Cash Management

• Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash balances.
• Support fund disbursement, petty cash monitoring, and cash flow forecasting.
• Coordinate with banks for deposits, payments, and loan transactions (if applicable).

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Implement and monitor internal control procedures for accounting and financial processes.
• Recommend improvements to financial workflows and documentation.
• Ensure proper record keeping for audits, regulatory checks, and internal reviews.
