Job Title: Butcher
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in meat preparation, cutting, trimming, and customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality products, maintaining food safety standards, and providing excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats according to company standards
- Prepare specialty cuts and custom orders for customers
- Inspect meat products for quality and freshness
- Properly label, price, and display products
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas in compliance with health regulations
- Operate meat processing equipment safely
- Manage inventory and minimize waste
- Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter preferred
- Knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety regulations
- Ability to use knives, grinders, slicers, and other equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
