Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven External Audit Senior Specialist to join a professional services firm. This role is ideal for someone who can lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and guide junior team members while ensuring high-quality audit delivery and compliance with applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute external audit engagements in accordance with auditing standards and firm methodologies
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior audit specialists
• Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact during engagements
• Identify audit risks, assess internal controls, and recommend improvements
• Prepare and review audit working papers, financial statements, and supporting documentation
• Provide timely updates and reports to managers regarding engagement progress, issues, and findings
• Assist in planning audit engagements and coordinating team activities

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred/required (adjust if needed)
• 3–5 years of relevant external audit experience
• Proven experience in supervising or handling junior audit staff
• Strong client management and communication skills
• Experience in reporting to managers and coordinating across teams
• Solid understanding of accounting and auditing standards
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
