An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Job Description – Electrician
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting, outlets, circuit breakers, and other electrical systems.
- Inspect electrical components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate testing equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, company policies, and applicable electrical codes.
- Replace or repair defective electrical components, fixtures, and equipment.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and maintenance requests.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Document completed work, inspections, and repairs.
- Coordinate with other maintenance personnel and departments as needed.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or vocational/technical graduate in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Preferably with experience as an electrician or in electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in various environments.
- Licensed Electrician (preferred, if required by the employer).
