PONTERAS GROCERY STORE
- A bodega man (or bodega worker) is responsible for managing the daily operations of a small neighborhood store, commonly referred to as a bodega. These stores often sell a variety of products, including groceries, snacks, beverages, household items, and sometimes alcohol or tobacco. The bodega man is in charge of handling sales, restocking shelves, ensuring the store is clean and organized, providing customer service, and maintaining inventory. They may also be responsible for managing cash transactions, processing deliveries, and ensuring the store operates smoothly.
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a similar role is preferred, but entry-level workers are often considered.
- Familiarity with cash registers, handling money, and inventory systems is beneficial.
Skills:
- Strong communication and customer service skills for interacting with customers and addressing their needs.
- Basic math skills for handling cash, giving change, and tracking inventory.
- Ability to operate a cash register or POS system efficiently.
- Organizational skills for managing inventory, store cleanliness, and product placement.
