A Travel Booking Agent assists clients in planning, booking, and managing travel arrangements such as flights, hotels, tours, and transportation. The agent provides guidance on travel options, ensures cost-effective itineraries, and delivers excellent customer service to create seamless travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients in booking flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, and other travel-related services.
Provide travel advice and recommendations based on client preferences, budgets, and schedules.
Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to bookings, cancellations, or changes.
Maintain accurate records of reservations, payments, and customer communications.
Stay updated on travel regulations, airline policies, and industry trends.
Coordinate with suppliers, airlines, hotels, and tour operators to ensure smooth travel arrangements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree in tourism, hospitality, or related field is preferred.
Experience in travel booking, customer service, or a travel agency environment.
Strong knowledge of travel destinations, airlines, hotel chains, and booking systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
Familiarity with global distribution systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo is an advantage.
