About the Role
This Collections Officer role is designed for professionals who excel in high-stakes financial conversations and portfolio recovery. You will manage complex delinquent accounts, influence repayment outcomes, and directly contribute to financial stability for both customers and the business. This is a performance-driven environment where strategic thinking, negotiation expertise, and customer empathy intersect to deliver measurable impact.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of collections experience with no more than a 3-month employment gap
- At least 1 year of remote work experience
- Proven experience handling 90+ days delinquent accounts within a BPO setting
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional communication across phone, email, and chat channels
- Background in debt collection, consumer lending, or personal finance
- Exposure to underwriting, financial statements, or payroll processes is an advantage
- Proficiency in CRM and call center systems with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong judgment with a customer-focused approach
- Reliable internet connection and laptop for interview process
Responsibilities
- Manage delinquent accounts through strategic outbound and inbound communications
- Diagnose root causes of non-payment and structure viable repayment solutions
- Negotiate payment plans or full settlements aligned with business objectives
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation within CRM systems
- Educate customers on repayment options and financial implications
- Resolve payment-related inquiries independently and efficiently
- Prioritize and organize follow-ups to maximize recovery outcomes
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards
- Meet and exceed performance metrics tied to recovery and service quality
- Contribute to customer experience through professional and solutions-driven interactions
