The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting materials, equipment, and goods safely and efficiently to and from project sites. The role ensures timely delivery, supports site operations, and maintains vehicle safety and compliance with road and company regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Includes but not limited to the following:
- Operate company trucks and vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to designated locations
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after trips
- Report any vehicle defects, damages, or maintenance needs promptly
- Follow assigned routes and schedules efficiently
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials
- Comply with traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and deliveries
- Assist in basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
- Coordinate with site and logistics teams for delivery schedules
- Ensure proper documentation of deliveries and receipts
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times
- Respond to emergency situations or delays appropriately and report incidents
- Support overall site operations when needed
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid professional driver’s license (required)
- TESDA driving certification or equivalent (advantage)
- Defensive driving training (preferred)
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge training (preferred)
Desired Knowledge / Experience
Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in construction or logistics
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Ability to operate different types of trucks (e.g., dump trucks, flatbeds)
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with routes and navigation tools
- Ability to handle and secure loads properly
- Strong sense of responsibility and safety awareness
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in construction site environments
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure
- Team player with the ability to work independently
