Cashier
A Cashier handles transactions, provides excellent customer service, and ensures accuracy in processing payments in a retail or service environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with inquiries.
- Operate the cash register and process transactions, including cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as needed.
- Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform management of low-stock items.
- Handle customer complaints or refer them to the supervisor when necessary.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer interactions.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role (preferred).
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems or cash registers.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Honesty, reliability, and a friendly demeanor
