About the role
A Registered Pharmacist (RPh) is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for the safe, accurate, and effective distribution of medications. They evaluate prescriptions, dispense drugs, counsel patients on proper usage, and collaborate closely with physicians and other medical personnel to optimize patient care therapies.
Key responsibilities
Verify electronic or physical prescriptions from accredited YAKAP clinic physician to ensure the Five Rights of medication safety and match drugs to active patient diagnoses.
Process transactions using the PhilHealth GAMOT system, check Unique Prescription Security Codes (UPSC), have patients sign GAMOT Availment Slips (HAS), and monitor the member's remaining annual ₱20,000 medicine balance.
Maintain accurate documentation of all dispensed YAKAP/GAMOT prescriptions, log inventory movements, and prepare compliance and transmittal reports.
Oversee daily pharmacy operations, monitor expiration dates using First-In, First-Out (FIFO), manage stock positioning, and handle proper disposal or reporting of critical/expired stock.
Coordinate closely with YAKAP clinic primary care doctor, nurses, and administrative personnel regarding patient treatment plans, rational drug use, and antimicrobial stewardship.
Educate patients on correct drug dosage, potential side effects, adherence, and proper medicine storage.
Supervise and train pharmacy assistants ensuring compliance with strict healthcare standards.
About you
Registered Pharmacist (RPh) with a valid PRC license.
Preferably with knowledge of the PhilHealth YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) and GAMOT (Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment) programs.
Must have experience working in a retail drugstore or clinic.
Proficiency in standard retail dispensing systems, electronic prescription software, and point-of-sale (POS) equipment.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong ethical judgment, and excellent communication skills to connect effectively with diverse patients, clients, and healthcare teams.
Available to work on-site from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and willing to be assigned to Concepcion, Marikina City.
